Description:

During my time at 🍎, I explored a conceptual series of Apple Watch faces and accompanying packaging as a playful counterpoint to the utilitarian nature of timekeeping. The Strange Faces collection turns a quick glance at your wrist into a small moment of delight—offering personality, humor, and a bit of comic relief in the middle of everyday routines.

Each portrait is constructed from found objects and typographic forms—assembling faces out of everyday visual fragments and alphabet letters. The result is a set of strange, expressive characters that feel both abstract and oddly human, rewarding a closer look with small visual discoveries.

The packaging extends this sense of surprise through contrast. Rendered in restrained black and white on the exterior, it sets a minimal tone—so opening the box reveals an unexpected burst of color and character on the watch face itself. The experience is designed as a reveal: quiet on the outside, expressive on the inside—imagining how even the smallest product moment can feel playful, human, and a little weird in the best way.
